Phillauri Hindi Movie is about a bride who comes as spirit to meet her husband. Husband being Manglik is married to a tree but actually marries the Spirit of Shashi . Shashi(spirit) will reveal her love story after being asked on why she is still in this world after death. Phillauri Movie narrates all interesting things like crazy Punjabi wedding, lifestyle etc.. which forms rest of the story.
Phillauri is the story of a friendly ghost named Shashi. She is accidently married to a guy and she hovers around the guy. The return of Shashi to this world is after almost a century. She compares between that time when she came from and what she is seeing today. She is suprised by her backless dress and other aspects like drunk grandmother. Movie is actually about in Shashi’s eyes how traditions and family values have changed.
The Movie part of Anushka and Diljit love story is quite different which is set in Punjab in the pre-Independence time. Movie is a one time watch if not skipped.
