Unheard, a Telugu limited series featuring Priyadarshi, Ajay, Chandini Chowdary, Baladitya, and others in the lead roles is streaming on Disney Hotstar now. Here’s our review of the series.
The plot revolves around the lives of four characters: Yash (Ajay Kumar Kathurvar), Pallavi (Shweta Parashar), Raag (Yash Puri), and Dilip (Prawin Yendamuri). Each of them has their own set of problems, and how they manage to stay afloat in difficult times, as well as if there is a link between their stories. That is the film’s central conflict.
The word Sitralu, as the title suggests, perfectly captures the four characters’ various emotions and conflict points. The director has written these elements and has set them up in an impressive way among these four actors.
Prawin Yendamuri is the best of the lot and performs admirably. The way he suppresses his inner feelings is revealing.
The entire storey is based on conversations about the freedom struggle. This is a novel approach, and it is unlikely to appeal to all segments of the audience.
Beyond a certain point, the conversations become monotonous. The dialogues in the second and third episodes were a little too long. The ending is also a little underwhelming.
The production design is of the highest calibre. The essence of Hyderabad and Secunderabad in the pre-independence era is beautifully presented. The background score is sufficient. The cinematography is also of the highest calibre.
Unheard is a conversation series that is a new venture in the Telugu web space. While some may find these discussions about Indi interesting, others may not.
