Trailer
Synopsis:
Abhiram (Sai Tej) is a man who constantly questions the system’s flaws. His father (Jagapathi Babu) is also a government employee, but he is corrupt. With all of this going on around him, Abhiram decides to join the IAS and is assigned to his hometown. However, he must deal with larger issues and politicians such as Vishaka Vani (Ramya Krishna). The basic plot revolves around Abhiram’s ability to deal with such big heads while restoring normalcy in his hometown.
The film’s basic intention is correct, and it also addresses key issues in the system. The majority of the drama occurs in the second half of the film, as the script’s emotions and sincerity are well showcased.
Ramya Krishna is convincing as a corrupt politician.Movie Performance’s:
The film’s production values are excellent, as the filmmakers did not skimp on the taking and visuals. The camera work is fantastic, as is the production design. The editing and dialogue were both good. In terms of the film’s director, Guru Pawan, he did an adequate job. Things would have been even more impressive if he had emphasised the emotional aspect more.
Movie Review
Overall, Republic is a timely social drama with a realistic setting. The sincere performance of Sai Tej and the good drama in the second half are key assets. If you ignore the slow first half and the lengthy runtime, this film deserves a chance because of the sincerity with which it was made.
